The ORCA II was the reproduction of the ORCA I and had no bottom, but a set of adjustable flotation devices. There were six breakaway sterns, three of sugar pine, three of balsa wood. The same was true of the cabin wall (# of each) where the sharks comes through looking for Brody. All twelve breakaway parts were completed and were identical before the ORCA II left for its ocean premiere. I had to go and make small repairs every now and then when it was docked. I never went out for the ocean shots and confined my efforts to dockside repairs.
